Great Northern Hydroponics specializes in fresh tomato production through the application of state-of-the-art hydroponics technology. The company specializes in the production and packaging of gourmet tomatoes on the vine.
Great Northern Hydroponics production capacity consists of a 50-acre greenhouse facility capable of producing over 9,200,000 kg of tomatoes annually. The latest production techniques are applied such as raised troughs, inter planting, run-off fertilizer recycling, computerized climate controls, biological pest management, and computerized labour tracking.
The resulting tomato is high in nutrients with extended shelf life, pesticide and herbicide free, and provides customers with significant value and uncompromised quality. Packaging capabilities are fully automated with the latest technology and include the ability to package in bulk, stickered and unstickered, and in plastic or netted bags.
Great Northern Hydroponics and its management are proud to be fully food safety compliant with United States and Canadian regulations, obtaining some of the highest quality ratings within the industry. They are also very proud to be ISO 9001-2000 certified, the first hydroponics greenhouse in North America to receive such certification.
