Michael Dowd
Director of Operations
CITY Beverage-Illinois
Mr. Dowd is Director of Operations for CITY Beverage-Illinois and is responsible for the warehousing and delivery operations for the company’s facilities throughout its 11,000 square mile territory. Mike also serves as the company’s A-B Inbev approved Successor Equity Manager.
His affiliation with Soave began in 1989, when Anthony Soave and Cecil Troutwine became partners. Mr. Dowd adds nearly 30 years of experience in wholesaler operations, sales and management to the Soave Distributing team holding nearly every position in the company during his impressive career. His most recent role was as General Manager of CITY Beverage-Markham.
During his years in Markham, Mr. Dowd contributed meaningfully to the company’s numerous awards and recognitions, including the prestigious Ambassador of Excellence for achieving the greatest regional sales growth in 2009.
Today, Mike serves on Anheuser-Busch’s Wholesaler Integrated Learning Advisory Panel and is a trustee for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union Local 744 Pension. A long-time Director for the Boys and Girls Club of Joliet, IL, Mr. Dowd is a graduate of the University of Saint Francis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management.
